Home From Samoa

Mom and Dad Eves returned home from Samoa on June 28th. We were so excited to go to the airport to pick them up. They had shirts made for all of the family members. Each family has thier own color. It was fun to see the whole family all together in the bright colors.
The boys also wore the lava-lavas grandma made them for Christmas.

I took my ipod for Lincoln to watch a show on incase we were there for a long time before the flight landed. I needed back-up because the plane was not scheduled to land until 10:45 pm! That is WAY past bed time and I was trying to avoid any melt downs. Lincoln was a sweetie and shared the ipod with Bridger. Those two are best buds.

By this point, Lincoln had had enough. Bridger was monopolizing the ipod so I found a show on my phone for Lincoln to watch instead. We were all very tired...

THEY'RE HOME! When they walked down the hallway toward our huge family, the kids showed every emotion possible. Some screamed, some laughed, some cheered, and some cried. Everyone was so happy to see them! Ray and Jill brought cute lei's made out of candy for everyone.

What a memorable night. It's great to have Ray and Jill home. We are grateful for thier service in the mission and for their safe arrival back home.
While fixing up a home, Ray and Jill are living with us here. It is great to have them here and we feel lucky that we can spend so much time with them.

Summer Staycation

We decided to stay close this summer for our vacation and not to go too far away. We did some really fun things right here in Utah. One thing we were able to do is visit Lagoon. Lincoln calls it "The Goon."

Lincoln could not wait to ride the Ferris Wheel. He loves them! We made our way over to the gigantic wheel and piled in the basket. Lincoln could not believe how high up in the sky we were, and frankly, neither could I. I have never been one to worry about heights, but honestly, this ride made my heart beat a little faster than normal.

Lincoln also wanted to ride the bumper cars. He looked so big waiting in line all by himself.

He loved the bumper cars and was acually a pretty good driver.
Next, it was time to head over to the carousel. Lincoln wanted me to ride with him, so we found two empty ponies right next to one another and enjoyed the entire ride.

When we took Lincoln to Lagoon the first time, he really loved these little cars, but this time he was less than impressed. It's just another sign that he is growing up. I guess they are not thrilling enough for him anymore.

However, these little planes provided some enjoyment for him. He loved pulling and pushing the lever to make the plane fly high up in the sky, then down low by the water. He could have gone on that ride over, and over and over.

We had a great day at Lagoon and actually quite enjoyed our little Summer Staycation. :)

Our Little Graduate!

Lincoln graduated from Joy School this year. We had such a great experience with Joy School and the curriculum. Lincoln made some great friends and he learned many great things to help him learn how to be a good person.
Lincoln remembers learning about the gunny bag, visiting the farm, how to get his mad out, being the wise man in the Nativity and much more. He learned lots of great songs and learned how to follow rules.
The next step is Pre-School. He is getting so big!

T-Ball

Lincoln played T-Ball this year. He had fun being part of a team. He did a great job and loved his coach, Coach Darcy. She was really good to work with the kids. This was Lincoln's first experience with a sports team and it he did well. There were a few melt-downs as he learned the game and how to play, but overall it was a really great experience.

Lincoln's team was called the Bandits. Can you spot Lincoln?
