Playdates, Wheelchairs and Vampires

Yesterday was such a fun day! In the morning, we went to pick up Kate for a play date. Janalee, Kate's mom, had a new baby a couple of weeks ago so we had not seen Kate in a while. When Lincoln and Kate saw each other, they were so excited!

Kate wanted to give Lincoln a hug. She is so sweet. Lincoln tolerated the hug, but he was not willing to return the affection. He LOVES Kate, but he also loves his personal space. :)

When we went inside Kate's house to get her, Lincoln started snooping around like he always does, and he found the coolest toy! He found a little tiny wheelchair!

He immediately recognized it as something familiar and he would not put it down. Jana said we could take it home to play with it. Lincoln was so happy!

He decided that the wheelchair looked empty without someone occupying the seat, so he put a duck on the chair. (I laughed to myself because in my head I was thinking, "he must be a lame duck.") I am such a nerd...

Meanwhile, Kate was enjoying the rare opportunity to have time with Lincoln's favorite toy. The train!

When it was time for naps, we took Kate home. It was so much fun to have her over for the day.

On the drive back home, I opted to skip Lincoln's nap for the day and go swimming instead. David's mom and dad went with us to the Washington City Rec. Center. I did not take pictures, because Lincoln didn't have a great time. He gets really nervous about the big bucket of water that dumps out every minute or so. He does NOT like it! We stayed there for about an hour and then headed home. I was glad because we could still get a nap in. I put Lincoln down as soon as we got home and snuggled up to watch my new movie, Twilight. I love that movie! My favorite part is when Edward drives up in the car when Bella is getting harassed by all those creepy guys. Right when the movie finished, David came home, Lincoln woke up, and we headed over to a birthday party.

Yesterday was awesome!

Backyard

Yay! We officially have a backyard! (Not just a bunch of dirt and rocks). I am so excited. David and Lincoln love it too.
Because of dreaded allergies, I could not sleep the other night. I woke up at 4:30 and finally decided to get out of bed at 5:00. I decided to look out the window to gaze at my backyard and I was welcomed by this view.

When the sun finished coming up, Lincoln wanted to go outside to play in the yard. Here are some pics.

I also included a picture of my little garden. I can't wait for it to start growing yummy veggies.

I am so glad for my backyard and for my husband who worked so hard to get it done for me. Thanks honey!

Pretty Little Baby

Little Alexis Tori Cox finally decided to come into the world. After much anticipation, she was born on Monday, March 2, 2009. She weighed 7lb. 5oz. and she was 19.5in. She is such a pretty baby. Mom and baby are doing well.

I can't wait to get out to St. Louis so that I can love on her! I am so proud of my lil sis.
