While in St. Louis, I bought Lincoln a little doctor kit. He really enjoys playing with it and having his mommy be the patient. Today, he said some really funny things while performing my exam. First, he put on the blood pressure cuff and said "This is to keep your blood safe."
Next, he put on the stethoscope and asked me to hold still so he can "see" my heart. I did as he asked and after a few seconds, he let out a giggle and said, "Your heart sounds like a rabbit! It says, EEK, EEK!"
After the stethoscope he got out some tweezers and said, "This is to get your blood out." He ran the tweezers along my arm and said, "That's better."
Next was the syringe. He told me to hold still for the medicine. He actually did that one correctly other than pulling it out rather than pushing it in. :)
Following the syringe, he got the miniature bed pan and put it on my arm and said "That's to take out all of your blood."
Next, Lincoln grabbed the mirror that dentists use to look in the mouth. Lincoln calls it a "comere" (mirror=come-here). He looked in my mouth for the "cavity bugs."
Then he reached for the thermometer, which he called a "temperature" and stuck it on my leg.
After the thermometer came the scissors. He pretended to cut my arm and let all the blood out again.
At the end, he told me that I am healthy and ready to go home. :) Thank goodness!
