Estrogen Overload

Lincoln has been surrounded by women these last few weeks. I think he is ready for some male bonding time for sure.

Kate is Lincoln's best friend. He loves it when she comes over to play. Last week he even cried when she had to go home. She is such a funny little girl. I don't really have pictures of them together because they don't hold still or stay in one place long enough for me to get them both in the shot. These kids destroy my house faster than I can pick up after them. It is so much fun though.

A few days ago, we went to the park for a play date with my old roommates, Jaycee and Amber Tuttle. They are sisters from LaVerkin. Their parents live in our ward and their little brother had his homecoming last Sunday so they were in town. They both have two daughters - more estrogen! We had a good time at the park, but I felt like I didn't get my Tuttle fix so I invited them over to our house for more chatting. Another friend, Tara Gubler came over with her daughter too. In one day, Lincoln had six women at the house (not to mention the moms). It was good for Lincoln to have some friends come over and I was pleased to indulge in some adult conversation. I just LOVE those gals. We had a such a good time that I forgot to take pics of all the kids and roommies. BUMMER! Here are some pics of Linc at the park.

Some of the cheapest toys I have found for Lincoln to play with are these little puff balls I had left over from teaching. He loves to shove them under his neck and walk around with them. I thought Linc was kinda weird until Kate did the exact same thing the other day. Those kids crack me up.

They found my Palm. Notice it lying on the floor at the bottom of the stairs? Great.

I watched my niece, Aubrey, one night for my sister-in-law. This little one is ALL girl. She wanted me to make her a wand. This is the best I could come up with . I know...pretty ugly right? At least she was happy with it.

She likes to do strange poses for the camera.

Even though we were surrounded by girls, we had a great time! However, it's a good thing Lincoln has lots of male cousins. We'll have to set up some play dates with them soon.

JIB JAB ROCKS!

I found this High School Musical jib jab on their website. I thought it was so funny I could not resist making David and I the stars of the show! When I was teaching 5th grade, my students loved High School Musical. This post is for you Emily!

You can make your own or other jib jabs at www.jibjab.com

Summer Fun!

We have been having some fun in the sun this summer. We have done lots of activities; some of which Lincoln has not been a huge fan, but we had fun anyway.

We went to Lagoon a few weeks ago. I think Linko may have been a little too young for the rides. He didn't like them very much. When I put him on this ride, he started to cry. David told me to let him ride anyway. Lincoln wasn't very happy about that.

He didn't like the carousel very much either. I stood right by him the whole time, but it didn't make him feel any better. He even tried jumping off!

The little train was fun though. Lincoln liked looking at all the animals, but he didn't like the noise of the train tooting his whistle. We also took him to Lagoona Beach. He loves the water, but you would never know it because this is the exact face he had going down all the slides. Sometimes it is impossible to read his emotions.

Linko also enjoyed the car ride. He loves to ride in cars and this little boy was nice enough to let Lincoln ride with him.

For the 24th, our neighbors held a pool party in their back yard. We had a blast. In our mommy and me swimming class, Lincoln learned how to jump off the side of the pool so at the party, he was showing off his skills.

In SLC, we went to a baby yard sale. The woman holding the yard sale took very good care of her things. I was so excited about all my new treasures.

One of our favorite things to do is to have Lincoln's best friend, Kate, over on Wednesdays. They are so fun and they play so well together. Kate enjoys playing with Lincoln's yard sale toys too!

We made a trip to Ogden to say goodbye to my sis, Tori, before she moved away to St. Louis. She is such a funny gal. I love her tons and I am going to miss her so badly. I was too broken up when we said goodbye to each other to want to take any pictures. I regret that now, but the photos would have been hideous with my big snotty nose and swollen eyes highlighted next to Tori's beautiful face.

When we got home from visiting Tori, Lincoln had a new car waiting for him. He loves these cars so we saved up to get one for him. He was so excited to see it waiting for him in the living room, he could hardly wait to take it on a test drive.
