Lincoln is 3!

We had a great time celebrating Lincoln's 3rd birthday. He was so excited for his party. He told me that he wanted "streamers, and balloons, and goodiebags, and birthday cake, and birthday candles, and presents." I did my best to deliver. Here is a shot of some of the decor.

He was not afraid of his birthday at all this year. (WHEW! I was beginning to wonder if he would ever grow out of that little quirk.) I made him a birthday pancake for breakfast and I sang to him. He loved blowing out the candles.

Since Lincoln is obsessed with Cars, I decided to make him a Cars cake.

We had the family over for a little party. Lincoln loved playing with all of his cute cousins.

Everyone was so generous with the gifts. THANKS!

I was pleasantly surprised when Lincoln sang along with everyone when it was time to sing Happy Birthday! He sang "Happy But-day deew Ween-kin....Happy But-day to you." I was a happy momma.

All in all, the party was a success!

We are so blessed to have Lincoln in our family. We love his happy personality and his sweet reminders of how he loves us. We love him so much and can not express the blessing he is to us. I thank Heavenly Father for him every day. Love you Linc!

More of Easter Weekend

On Saturday we went to Parowan for some Easter Festivities. We went to the town Easter Egg Hunt. It was awesome!

Linc understood the whole Easter Egg concept much better this year. He had a great time.

Next, we went to the Parowan house for some more Easter fun. It's not unusual to have snow on the ground for Easter in Parowan. Daniel was kind enough to entertain the kids while others shoveled snow off the grass in the front yard to prepare for our own egg hunt.

There was plenty of loot for the kids in Parowan. I think the Easter Bunny over-did it again this year.

We stayed in Parowan on Saturday night and Lincoln woke up on Sunday to another full Easter basket. That Easter Bunny must love him!

Easter Weekend

Our Easter weekend started with a little hunt at Jack and Gina's. First, we colored eggs. Lincoln love it.

Next, it was time for the hunt.

When we got home, Lincoln wanted to play with his Easter Bunny puppet. We had a great night.

Weekend of Family Fun

Our weekend was full of lots of family and lots of fun. We celebrated Lexie's first birthday in Parowan on Thursday. Tori, Kathi and I made the cake.
Alexis wasn't totally jazzed about all the new faces around her. This is how she looked at me often. It's like she's trying to tell me to keep my distance.

Although she was nervous around us, she is still adorable.

I guess she doesn't like Lincoln's smile.

Since I had meetings for work on Monday, we headed to Centerville on Saturday to spend some more time with the Cox family before they had to go back to Missouri.

David and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on Monday. We went out on a date while my mom and dad watched Lincoln. We went to eat and he took me shopping. PERFECT! I love him so much and I am so blessed to have him as my husband. He is perfect for me. I often wonder where 8 years have gone. When I think about all we have been through together it seems like a long time, but when I think about how long it has actually been, it doesn't seem possible that 8 years ago we were married. I guess time flies when you're having fun. Love you Dave!

Also, yesterday Lincoln told us that he needed to go to the bum doctor. When we asked why, he said that his bum hurt. A couple of hours later, I realized why his bum hurt. He was very constipated. Poor little guy. He has not mentioned the bum doctor since.

Lincoln recognizes every letter of the alphabet (upper and lower case) and knows most of the sounds.
