Our Easter weekend was such a blast! We were so lucky to have Mike
and Kathi come with their kids as well as Tori and Lexie, and Mom and
Dad Edwards.
On Saturday, we planned a big Easter Egg hunt in the back yard. First, we had to dye the eggs.
Finally it was time to hunt for the eggs!
I
keep telling the Easter Bunny to tone it down every year, but he always
seems to go overboard on the prizes and eggs and candy. Lincoln found
so many goodies that his basket was over flowing! Thanks Easter Bunny!
After things settled down on Saturday, Mike, Kathi and the kids headed home. Lincoln and Lexie headed to bed. :)
The
next day was a BIG day. Lincoln turned 5 on Easter Sunday! This was
special to me because the year that Lincoln was born, he was born on
Easter Sunday.
Lincoln woke up in the morning to find that the
Easter Bunny came AGAIN... and there were tons of birthday presents
waiting for him.
Lincoln got more prizes from the Easter Bunny, and Lexie did too! She loved this little lamb.
Happy Easter!
Lincoln had our traditional birthday breakfast pancake and then it was time to open gifts.
He desperately wanted Batman Legos. He was so happy to see that his mom and dad delivered on that. :)
It was so fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Edwards there to celebrate with us.
Once
things wound down, it was time for Tori, Lexie, Grandma and Grandpa to
head back north. We sure loved having them here with us.
Later that day, my big 5 year old got all dressed up in his new Easter Sunday Birthday clothes and headed to church.
I sure love my big boy. Happy Birthday, Lincoln!

5!
Lincoln was so excited to turn 5 this year! We counted down the days until his birthday. A few days before his actual birthday, we had a birthday party for Lincoln and his friends.
Lincoln requested a Lego birthday party. He asked me to make a Lego Batman cake for him. I was happy to do that for my big 5 year old.
Lincoln had a lot of friends come over. We played lots of games and had a great time.
Everyone was very interested in seeing the cool presents Lincoln got from his friends. He definitely got a lot of great presents!
Lincoln had a great birthday party! He says his favorite part was eating the cake.

David Checks In
After Lincoln had been in the bathroom for quite a while, David went to check on him. David stopped outside the bathroom door and asked, "Linc, are you wiping your bum, or are you playing in the potty?" Lincoln replied by saying, "I'm wiping my bum, but I'm a little bit playing in the potty." I couldn't help but giggle.

Excuse Me Sir...
A little while ago, Lincoln and I were having a particularly long day. Lincoln was dying for someone to play with and I had a lot of work to do. All of his usual friends were unavailable so he was stuck with me and hanging out at home. Because of this, on a break, we dashed to the library to get out of the house for a few minutes. While at the library, Lincoln was still desperate for someone to play with. Suddenly, we saw a little boy Lincoln knows walk into the library with his dad. Lincoln quickly walked up to the dad and said, "excuse me sir, but can Bridger Johnson play?" Bridger's dad said, "that's the most polite request I have ever heard!" I was one proud momma. That was a very cute moment. :)
