We call it his "pretty smile". Whenever we ask for it, he dazzles us with his toothy grin, squinty eyes and scrunched up nose. Sometimes he'll even say, "mommy" and when I turn to look at him, that pretty smile is waiting for me. What a sweetie.

Show Me Your Pretty Smile
So...lately Lincoln has been doing this weird cheesy smile. We think it's adorable and worth posting.

Looks like Lincoln is quite the trend setter. Kate caught on to the pretty smile too.

Turkey and Stuffing and Pie! OH MY!
Our Thanksgiving feast was wonderful thanks to proper planning by David's parents. They understand that I am a little weird when it comes to being in a small space with lots of people. I usually freak out and storm off leaving David to find his own way home. (I can be a bit dramatic). Unfortunately, Lincoln inherited my aversion to crowds. (He can be a bit dramatic too). Since Ray and Jill know I am a spaz, they rented the American Legion building where there was plenty of room for David's humongous family. The final total of people attending our feast was 57! WHAT?! I know...my dad always jokes that we are going to have to reserve the Energy Solutions Arena for Thanksgiving before too long.
This picture is evidence that both Lincoln and I were pleased with the open space of the American Legion building.

After the feast, we went to Ray and Jill's for pie. It wasn't so bad at the house because people came and went and everyone was spread throughout the house. Again, Lincoln takes after me with his love of chocolate pie.

After pie, we headed home to get some beauty sleep for family pictures the next day. Since everyone was in town, we thought we'd take advantage of the opportunity by getting an updated family photo. The weather was perfect and the location was gorgeous. Lincoln however,...well...he wasn't the happiest little boy. Someone got this great shot of the brothers. I love it!

After wrestling with Lincoln for an hour and trying to get him to smile, we were finally finished. We were on our way home when...you'll never guess. Lincoln puked all over! Those who have read my previous posts can appreciate the irony. I guess pictures equal puke. Aah the joys!

This is Halloween
Since I love Halloween, I'd like to begin this post by looking back on past years.

The nerd is my go-to costume. I love dressing up like a nerd. I feel that inside, I am a nerd at heart.

For our ward party a few years ago, I dressed up like a UPS driver and I made David dress up like a box. He was a good sport. The costume was hilarious!
Last year, I was a witch, Lincoln was Tigger and David was a toilet. That was a pretty good one too.
This year, I was a princess, David a prince and Lincoln was the fiery dragon. Lincoln's costume was SO cute. I loved it! We had a great time at the ward party.

Last night, we met some friends to go trick-or-treating around their neighborhood. Lincoln had a great time with friends. He loved going to the door and getting candy. By the end of the night, he caught on to the idea.

This is the back view of Lincoln's costume. I think it is adorable.
Parker is Lindsey Hurst's baby. They were a family of lions. They were adorable.
RJ is Lindsey's other boy. He was a lion for about 7 minutes. Then he decided to strip down and do his trick-or-treating in his t-shirt and diaper. What a cutie!
Lincoln and RJ had fun playing in the wagon that I borrowed from my friend Crystal. The wagon was a genius idea.

Later we headed to the Eves' house for some pizza and pics. I could not resist my nerdy tendencies so I ditched the princess costume and became a nerd. I am more of a nerd than a princess anyway. See me on the far left? I looked hot! You can't get the full effect in the picture. It's really something that is better in real life.
Jack and Gina were adorable as Minnie and Mickey Mouse.
Ellie and Hayden were Princess Leia and Anikin Skywalker.
Michale's ostrich costume was hilarious!
We had a great time on Halloween. It was fun and I am already thinking of what we can be next year.
